Giovanna Cardellicchio, a cum laude graduate of the Catholic University Santa María La Antigua in Panama, has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology and financial industries. She has also completed executive training programs at the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and at INCAE Business School (Central America Institute of Business Administration).
She is an active member of the Panamanian Association of Business Executives (APEDE), the Panamanian Society of Engineers and Architects (SPIA), and the Association of Female Directors of Panama (ADP).
As General Manager of APC Experian, Giovanna is responsible for ensuring the security, confidentiality, and availability of the Credit Reference System — the primary risk mitigation tool for Panama’s National Banking System as well as multiple commercial and financial sectors.
She also serves as First Vice President of the Latin American and Caribbean Association of Credit Bureaus (ALACRED) and is Chairwoman of the Communications and Knowledge Management Working Group within the International Committee on Credit Reporting (ICCR), a World Bank–led initiative that establishes international credit reporting standards and promotes financial inclusion and cross-country information exchange.
In addition, Giovanna is the Executive Director of the Panamanian Credit Association. Outside her professional activities, she volunteers for multiple organizations dedicated to animal welfare and the protection of nature.
