Mauricio Gamboa is an industrial engineer who graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana from 1976 to 1980. He completed his master’s degree in Systems and Planning at the Universidad Iberoamericana from 1980 to 1981 and from 1984 to 1987. He completed his MBA at the Graduate School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles from 1981 to 1983. He then completed the AD2 Senior Management Program at IPADE from 2004 to 2005, the Governing Companies, Perfecting Advisors program in 2013, and the Senior Management Continuity Program from 2006 to 2014.
In his professional experience, he served as CEO of Monitor Casa de Cambio from June 1988 to April 1990. At Dynaworld Bank & Trust, he held the position of Director of Finance, Credit, and Operations from June 1990 to April 1992 and later served as CEO from April 1992 to May 1993. At Grupo Financiero Serfin, he began as Director of Regulations and Credit Portfolio from May 1994 to December 1998, and then held the position of Executive Director of Credit from January 1998 to July 2001. Since July 2001, he has held the position of CEO of Buró de Crédito. From October 2015 to date, he has also held the position of President of the Latin American and Caribbean Association of Credit Bureaus (ALACRED).
Throughout his professional career, he has served as an advisor to the following companies: Trans Union de México S.A. SIC from 1995 to 2001, Dun & Bradstreet S.A. SIC from 1998 to 2001, Seguros Atradius from 1997 to 2001, Grupo Mapfre from 2009 to 2015, Nafinsa Advisory Council Mexico City from 2012 to 2015, Editorial Board of Ciclo de Riesgo magazine from 2013 to 2015, Mexico – Israel Chamber of Commerce from 2014 to 2015, and Solunion Seguros de Crédito from 2014 to 2015.
