Dr. Petros Kapasouris is the General Manager of TIRESIAS, where he has worked for more than 25 years in various positions, including Management Consultant, Business Development Manager, Production Manager, and Head of Research and Development. He is responsible for shaping and implementing the company’s strategy, business planning, and digital transformation, as well as developing value-added services in the new information era. He oversees the development of new data sources, credit scoring systems, and decision-support systems.
Previously, Dr. Kapasouris worked as a business consultant at Intrasoft S.A., where he was responsible for consultancy services in information strategic planning, business transformation, and business process re-engineering. In the United States, he served as a research and development engineer at Alphatech (currently BAE – British Aerospace), specializing in aeronautics control systems theory, human performance modelling, and decision-support automation systems. He also worked at GE Aviation (USA) designing automatic control system methodologies for aircraft and helicopter engines, and at Omega Engineering (USA) as a temperature control systems engineer.
He holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut.
